A concert, a school: Tiken Jah Fakoly's African Revolution goes through education
Last weekend, Ivorian reggae artist Tiken Jah Fakoly inaugurated the sixth Tiken Jah Fakoly school in Guinea Conakry. Through the program 'A concert, a school,' based in Bamako, the singer continues his efforts with partners to promote education in Africa. The new school in Sokoro, northern Guinea, was funded by proceeds from two concerts in France and contributions from Caritas France and NGO Enfants du Globe. The Guinean Minister of Education, Ibrahim Khalil Konaté, praised the initiative, emphasizing the importance of education over child labor in mines. Tiken Jah Fakoly's dream is to build a school in every African country, asserting that education is the foundation of all development and calling on African states to prioritize education to drive revolution and development.
