Three students from the Escola Técnica de Formação de Pescas (Cefopescas) drowned during a practical swimming lesson on Friday in the Ramiros district, Belas municipality, Luanda. One female student was initially rescued alive but later succumbed to her injuries, while the bodies of the two other students were recovered on Saturday. The incident was attributed to the school's negligence for not having a security system in place during sea practice sessions. A landslide in the locality of Diboko, approximately 120 kilometers from Tshikapa, the capital of Kasaï province, killed six illegal miners. The Association of Former FAPLAS Combatants (ASCOFA) has introduced a plan to form a cooperative aimed at reintegrating its members into the workforce through a cleaning campaign in major cities of Angola.
