Three car bombs in Beledweyne, Somalia, killed at least 20 people and wounded 36. The first two targeted a military base and government headquarters, killing the deputy governor of Hiran region and the region's health minister. Al-Shabab claimed responsibility. The attacks followed the Somali government's announcement of the death of al-Shabab co-founder Abdullahi Nadir in a joint operation with international forces.
