Euronews: Some 153 tons of caramels are the central ingredient of the 7 wars that are fought every year at the Vilanova i la Geltrú Carnival, a port city southwest of Barcelona. This year the "war" was held this Sunday, February 26. This Carnival, which lasts a week, has a long history of over 250 years, and is deeply rooted in its people, who continued to celebrate it despite the prohibition of the dictator Francisco Franco.

Strategic framework: audiovisual capsule to present the strategic framework of the Confederation of Neighborhood Associations of Catalonia (CONFAVC).

"La mà amiga" (CONFAVC) is a short report in order to raise awareness in the neighborhoods, to reflect on and get involved in the problems of refugees and migrants and their reception.

"Montserrat Roig: the violet hour" is a documentary film that shows the different aspects of Montserrat Roig: a Catalan famed writer and journalist, whose work has been translated into ten languages. At the same time, it shows her different roles as a woman and feminist activist. I worked as a second unit as photographer.

Door-knockers: neighbors who help you against energy poverty

15 Mar 2017  |  es.euronews.com
The A-Porta project, led by the Confederació d’Associacions Veïnals de Catalunya (CONFAVC) and inspired by VoisinMalin in France, is tackling energy poverty in Barcelona's poorest neighborhood, Ciutat Meridiana, with support from the city council and water supplier Agbar. Trained local residents, known as 'Picaportes', visit homes to educate on utility bills, consumption habits, and identify severe cases of energy poverty. Since its inception in November, the project has reached over 400 households, with 160 receiving personalized advice. Findings reveal that 45% of these families had energy or water consumption issues, often due to unnecessary services added to their bills. The project is considered pioneering in Spain, aiming to empower residents and improve the quality of life in the community.
